As you may know, I was recently elected to the Massachusetts State
Senate on November 4, 2008, after proudly serving as a State Representative for
the City of Brockton for over 25 years in the House of
Representatives. This has been a long awaited dream of mine. |

My hearty thanks to the voters of the 2nd Plymouth and
Bristol Senate District for their support in electing me
State Senator! I am honored to have this opportunity,
and pledge to serve the residents and the municipalities
of the State Senate district with much dedication and
enthusiasm.
My priorities have always focused on being an open,
accessible and dependable legislator. My constituency
will have my undivided commitment and utmost attention.
I also have a full-time, experienced staff that assists
me in working on issues that are important to many
people throughout the district and state.
Some of my interests include advocating for local aid
for a continuation of quality local services such as
public safety and public education, healthcare and elder
affairs, and protecting our environment and natural
resources.
As I embark upon this journey of serving as a State
Senator, I welcome ideas, concerns, suggestions and
