Senator Kennedy
continues to advocate for the educational needs of all members
of the Commonwealth. As a long time representative to the New
England Board of Higher Education, Senator Kennedy brings a
wealth of experience and ideas to the debate for expansion and
reform of the Massachusetts Higher Education system. |

As a past Board
Member of St. Joseph’s Manor Nursing home and current member
of the Board of Directors of the New England Sinai Hospital
and Rehabilitation Center, Senator Kennedy is committed to
increasing the availability and quality of health care in
Massachusetts. As the son and brother of longtime nurses, the
Senator intends to continue to work with his legislative
colleagues to improve and expand coverage to all citizens of
the Commonwealth. |

HOUSING |

Affordable
housing has always been a priority for Senator Kennedy, and
remains one of his primary legislative interests. As the long
term economic impact of the housing shortage in Massachusetts
becomes more and more apparent, Senator Kennedy feels it is
vital to find a solution that will allow young families and
workers the opportunity to purchase their own homes without
mortgaging their futures. |

With the city of
Brockton and the towns of East Bridgewater, Easton, Halifax,
Hanover, Hanson and Whitman continuing to face budget
shortfalls, Senator Kennedy continues to fight for increased
local aid to the residents of the 2nd Plymouth and Bristol
district. |
